Overview

Warvideo is a gameplay session recorder available for macOS (Mac App Store) and Windows (Microsoft Store). This policy applies to both versions. Recordings are created on your own computer and are stored in the location you choose or in the app's local storage. Warvideo does not upload your recordings to a Warvideo server.

Purchases

Warvideo Pro subscriptions are processed by the store you bought the app from: Apple through the App Store on macOS, or Microsoft through the Microsoft Store on Windows. That store manages payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund workflows. The app uses the store's own services (Apple StoreKit on macOS, the Microsoft Store services on Windows) only to check whether your subscription is active. Warvideo never sees or stores your payment details.

Diagnostics

Store builds may use limited diagnostics provided by Apple or Microsoft to help understand crashes and app reliability. Diagnostics are used for support and maintenance, not for advertising or tracking.

Screen, Audio, and Microphone Access

Warvideo requests the operating-system permissions needed to record gameplay video, system or game audio, and microphone input when you enable those features — macOS screen recording and microphone permissions on Mac, and the equivalent screen capture and microphone access on Windows. Captured video and audio remain on your computer unless you choose to share or upload them elsewhere.

Game Log Files

To start and stop recordings automatically, Warvideo reads the World of Warcraft combat log file that the game writes on your own computer. It is read locally to detect encounters, dungeons and matches, and to label your recordings. The combat log is not transmitted to Warvideo or to any third party.

Optional Sharing

Warvideo includes optional features that send information only when you turn them on and provide a destination yourself — for example posting a recording summary to a Discord channel you configure. These features are off by default, and no data leaves your computer through them unless you enable them.
